Someone chatting me to help him, he asked : I just replaced toner with a new toner cartridge. Printer works but still shows error message to replace toner. Could this be because I just opened and installed the starter cartridge that came with the printer? When I set the printer up I installed a new high yield cartridge. What can I do? I have unplugged the printer, rebooted the PC. taken the cartridge back out and put it back in several times. I did shake the cartridge side to side and I moved the cleaner for the wire on the drum. The answer: This is part drum reset but as long as you follow the steps correctly it will clear the message of *Replace toner* (Be aware of step 5) Let me know how you get on. 1. On the printer, open the front toner compartment door. 2. The Printer display will read, “Front cover open.” 3. Press the “Clear” button. 4. Printer will beep and the display should read, “Replace Drum?” 5. This is the tricky part, ignore the replace...
Hey all ☺ , That's some printer's issue and solution. Replace question: My Brother MFC-L2720DW continually goes offline and won't come back on/wake up. It's extremely frustrating! Does anyone have any advice on how to solve this, please? It's connected to my PC via USB and I'm running Windows 10 64bit. After setting the static IP, the computer must be updated under Printer Properties/Ports to show a Standard TCP/IP port with the printers IP address. 1. Set a st...
Printer Preferences & Defaults Admin Default Settings Printer preference changes made from Devices & Printers, becomes your system “Default”. Navigate as follows: Start -> Devices & Printers -> Right Click Printer Icon -> Select preferences -> Select # Copies Any other options selected here will become the new default settings and will be applicable to new print jobs. End User Settings You can also select printer preferences from whatever application you may be using (WORD, Word Pad, Browser, etc) and select three copies. However this will be a one time selection for this one print job. The printer will then automatically revert back to Admin default setting of only one copy for the next print job. This is true for the other options selected in an application (i.e. black only or two sided p...
