Hey all❤, My friend have a Brother printer , and he was wondering how safe it is to use remanufacture ink cartridge? Is it safe to use any non-official/original cartridge? There is a difference between remanufacture and compatible cartridges. The remanufacture cartridges for this printer are OEM Brother that have been refilled, and the chip on them has been reset to retain all OEM information (ie. ink level). The compatible cartridges, are made by another company (not Brother) are filled and have no chip included. You have to remove the original Canon chip, and attach it to the compatible cartridge in order to use it. The ink level will have to be disabled in order to print.
