install toner cartridge

Hey all☺,

That's some printer's issue and solution.

Replace question:
 I have a laserjet 4100 that will not clear a install toner cartridge message. I have tried more than one cartridge with the same result. My theory is something in the printer is keeping this message on the screen. Where should I look first?

Solution:
tried new toner cartridge, tried replacing toner, tried formatter, no go.

Replace toner cartridge, drum, or printer?

      If your Brother is finally starting to show its age. It's still on the original toner cartridge, with no sign of running out, but there's now a light coat of toner over the entire page -- as if every page had a light gray background.      You didn't  know you should replace the toner cartridge (relatively inexpensive),the drum (about $20 less than a new printer), or the entire printer?      I dunno about your model, but the MFC model I have came with toner cartridge yield about 3000 pages. I already refilled it twice and just order 2-pack of 6000 pages toner kits.     So I guess your may runs low of toner, and you can buy toner kit (you can get them pretty cheap on EBY) and fill it yourself to save some buck.                                It isn't hard as you just remove the plug, use Shop-Vac to vacuum all the older toner out (I a...
