Hey all ☺ ,   That's some printer's issue and solution. Replace question: For my Brother MFC-8840D, All printed pages have a lot of black ink bled all over the entire left hand edge of the paper. Tried new OEM cartridges but it did not fix the problem. It does not matter whether I am making a photocopy, receiving a fax, or printing a document from my computer, it always bleeds about an inch of ink all the way down the left edge of the paper.  I have never replaced the drum unit and do not know what it does. Do I need a new drum unit that holds the ink cartridge? Or is it something else? I can email a picture of the paper if needed. Thank you so much! Hey all ☺ , That's some printer's issue and solution. Replace question: I would like to know if a laser toner cartridge have to be empty before I refill it. Since I ordered a toner bottle online and the description said it had to be empty. I emptied the toner and then realised that there was huge amount of powder which came out. I was thinking there was lot left and so why did I have to empty it? I want to know that if laser toner cartridge is "empty" then if the then powder inside disappears while printing or if it's just a residue. Solution: If you are refilling with cheap toner into a genuine one, you are probably best off emptying as it will be different and you may have a lot of imperfections when they mix. If you are topping up one that has already been refilled, I would say the answer is no because it is the same stuff. Printer Preferences & Defaults Admin Default Settings Printer preference changes made from Devices & Printers, becomes your system “Default”. If we select 3 copies as “Default”, then computer will print three copies for future print jobs. Consequently, our Default is probably always set to just One copy. Navigate as follows: Start -> Devices & Printers -> Right Click Printer Icon -> Select preferences -> Select # Copies Any other options selected here will become the new default settings and will be applicable to new print jobs. After cleaning all the ink slots, the black ink prints nothing but colored ink printing are OK. Is it possible to load black ink cartridge to all ink slots so that I can get my print in black ink?
