Slow print time can be caused by a high resolution setting, a memory issue, and/or choice of drivers. Solutions: High-resolution images have more data for your PC and printer to process, which can cause slow print times.  If you’re not looking for gallery quality, select draft, standard or normal mode for office documents. For presentations or formal pieces switch your setting back to high-quality. If processing large files with complex images is part of your regular workflow, consider adding memory to keep your printer humming along. Switch from two-sided to simplex mode. Hey all ☺ ,   That's some printer's issue and solution. Replace question: For my Brother MFC-8840D, All printed pages have a lot of black ink bled all over the entire left hand edge of the paper. Tried new OEM cartridges but it did not fix the problem. It does not matter whether I am making a photocopy, receiving a fax, or printing a document from my computer, it always bleeds about an inch of ink all the way down the left edge of the paper.  I have never replaced the drum unit and do not know what it does. Do I need a new drum unit that holds the ink cartridge? Or is it something else? I can email a picture of the paper if needed. Thank you so much! We bring to you some of the tricks to make you inkjet cartridge last longer to print you documents: Print in Draft mode: Try and use draft mode in the printing as much as possible. Simply go to File > Print to open the lists and settings for your printer. Click‘Properties’ to bring up the various options available. With this, you will print at a lower resolution but that may not matter for reference material.
